2 Konzerte im Phonzilmer

Im Rahmen der Wohnzimmerkonzertreihe “Im Phonzilmer” findet ein kleines Doppelkonzert statt. Zu sehen und hören sind 2 junge Nachwuchsmusikerinnen Mbiriko und Vasylysa.

Mbiriko is an artist, who grew up with Gnawa music and has studied and performed with renowned masters. His former project, Gnawa Brothers, brought traditional rhythms to diverse stages across Europe. Over the past year, Mbiriko has performed at several notable festivals and toured internationally with Moroccan artist Hind Ennaira as a singer and dancer.
From Gnawa Brothers emerged a new energy: Gnawa Vibes. While rooted in the same deep rhythmic foundation of traditional Gnawa, the new project
explores fresh sonic territories, blending ancestral grooves with modern instruments, hypnotic textures, and global influences. It’s the same spirit – but with a hotter, more electrifying pulse.

Vasylysa (ukr.: Василиса) is a solo project by Ukrainian singer-songwriter Vasylysa Furmanova.
Little to be said to explain seeing her live for the first time, as any expectations might be subverted in a second she picks the strings and starts singing. An heir to legendary traditional Ukrainian bards, she picked up bandura as her primary instrument, representing a symbol of strength, tradition and innovation, traveling both around Ukraine and Europe to sing the stories of lost pasts and stolen futures. You may see her at a charity event alone on the stage, hidden in the shadows, screaming into void; or sometimes with a guitar over the shoulder, breaking the speakers with the band of genre outlaws.
